In November 2017, Marcos Antônio Monteiro dos Reis (third from left in blue shirt) was inaugurated as president of TeachBeyond Brazil after a vote of the assembly representatives. Marcos Reis has been a TeachBeyond Brazil board member for awhile. Also elected to the 2018-19 board are Cesar Leandro Voltz (vice president), Ricardo Tonet Dini (treasurer), and Armando Castoldi (secretary).

The meetings of the General Assembly take place twice a year and seek to analyze the achievements and concrete actions already undertaken, as well as future demands that may arise in the ministries.

Here are some of the thoughts and hopes shared by Reis at the ceremony:

“Personally, it is an honor to be chosen to perform this function in this institution that has contributed a lot to my personal formation throughout my life (and before that in my parents’ lives)…. I have had opportunities here to meet and work voluntarily along with very special and skilled people, who have added and continue adding in my life. In fact, I would not have accepted the [presidency] if the board were not composed of [officers] that accompany me: Leandro Voltz, Armando Castoldi and Ricardo Dini. They confer experience, determination, integrity, and, above all, genuine faith. This group of directors seeks to continue the work developed by the previous management team…. [Our] the main objective will be to make the long-term viability of the institution’s actions possible,…paying attention to what God has in store for us.”
