Meet the Team

When she returned to the US, Heather joined the mobilization team and now serves as Director of Mobilization for the US and Canada. Heather loves having people in her home, trying new coffee shops, and co-hosting the Transformed & Transformational podcast.

Christy joined TeachBeyond in 2013, and now serves as teacher trainer and Associate Director of Mobilization. She enjoys being active and getting outside, being creative, and exploring new places with her husband, Mike.

From the age of 8, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, Katie said “missionary.” She grew up loving all things music, kids, missions, and cultures. After graduating from University of Northwestern – St. Paul with a degree in music education, she taught music for 2 1/2 years at a community center in Southeast Asia. Now, she is back in her native Midwest with a new understanding of what it feels like to be a foreigner and a better understanding of different cultures, including her own. She is excited to help others through the process of going, and to be part of global transformational education in mobilization.

After Kim graduated from Eastern University in 2007, she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Department of Defense for seven years.  She and her husband lived in Germany for several years, and Kim became Short-Term Coordinator when they returned to the United States in summer 2019.  Kim enjoys exploring new places, reading, having impromptu home dance parties, and eating cookies.

She and her husband moved overseas to serve with TeachBeyond in Central Asia for three years.
