LiveBeyond Innovates with Inverted Classroom
LiveBeyond, one of the main projects developed by TeachBeyond Brasil, is innovating once again. In addition to encouraging even more practical application of faith, the project is bringing technological adaptations and the concept of the "inverted classroom."
Currently, the program reaches about 300 people through its ministries. Thinking of extending this scope even further, the school year begins with several workshops to facilitate and guide the different initiatives run by students, which are held three afternoons a week in the city of Gramado.
LiveBeyond made improvements to the facilities, the study schedule and, beginning this year, students will be able to count on a virtual learning environment, developing more enthusiasm and self-direction in each student.
Inverted ClassroomThe main development is the inverted classroom, a method used in several countries with high academic achievement. It is a teaching model that places the student in a leading role, investigating the academic subject before the actual class begins. With the help of technology, the student has prior access to the basic curriculum of the class and can study it in advance. This leads to more informed discussions with colleagues and the professor.
This ability to access content when, where, and how often they want helps improve student performance, as they themselves can choose the most convenient time to study. The teacher acts as mediator between the student and the knowledge, answering questions, stimulating class interaction, and suggesting exercises and case studies in order to arouse students' interest and motivate them.
With the slogan "True revolution happens from the inside out," LiveBeyond offers five different tracks through which students can have experiences of theological study in internship format: Ministry, Light, Short, Job, and On Church. Students live at the TeachBeyond Brasil / Janz Team Gramado headquarters, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. They study content linked to the Christian faith, with different emphases and areas of practice, and gain practical experience through different types of internships, social actions and missionary journeys.
The goal of the program is to empower young leaders who can be influential in their communities. Through practical and theoretical experiences, students learn more about their abilities, gifts, and talents, in order to seek the needed transformation of the world as they know God more.
