40 Days of Prayer 2022 on Now!

How do you feel about prayer? Honestly, how do you feel? Sometimes prayer comes easily, the natural series of events in my relationship with God. At other times, prayer can feel like I’ve sent away something in the mail and I’m waiting for a response to come back. Every day, I walk to the mailbox anticipating an answer only to be greeted by the hollowness of an empty mailbox. It’s not that God’s not there, or listening, or even answering, it’s just that somehow, I expected it to be different.

Timothy Keller in Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God says, “God will either give us what we ask or give us what we would have asked if we knew everything he knew.” A few paragraphs later he exhorts us that, “The Spirit, even when you do not know how to pray, takes your core prayer and prays as you should be praying before the throne (Rom 8:26).” God, in his love, care and intentions for you is listening and longs for you and me to come to him.

40 Days of Prayer 2022 began January 10th across the TeachBeyond world. We’re spending 40 days praying God’s gospel actions of Creation, Fall, Redemption and Restoration together. You’ll hear the voices and prayers of TeachBeyonders all around the world inviting you to join your voice with theirs as we come to our Father. On Saturdays we’ll abide together in John 15. You can receive the prayer guides and find the launch video here. We’d love it if you would join us in prayer, join with others in your neighborhood, or church, or online to pray together. Let’s grow together!
