We would like to invite you to serve in an English Camp! How about seeing another continent?

Why English Camps? Our camps are one of the primary ways that TeachBeyond reaches out directly with the Gospel. Our weeklong camps have English classes, workshops, sports, crafts and all sorts of fun activities, as well as spiritual emphasis and Gospel proclamation.

One of my favorite experiences with TeachBeyond camps was in Brazil. This was not a typical trip of overnight camp, but rather we served in Brasilia, alongside a church of a Brazilian TeachBeyond member. Our main outreach was to a favela, a very low-income housing area, where the kids showed up day after day for 3 hours of English classes, after spending the entire morning at school.

We also ran evening classes at the church where members were permitted to participate if they brought at least 1 non-Christian along with them. Finally, we ran 1 week of afternoon classes for a local high school, which was within walking distance of the church. There were many in the church who assisted and came out to help translate, give their testimonies, prepare snacks, drive, etc. They did this so they could continue to build relationships after we left. It was a wonderful and deeply touching time of reaching out to help a practical need through the love of Jesus.

There are opportunities still open for team members this summer, and a few that could use an entire team. Brazil still has room on teams for the 6 camps happening there. Portugal has space and Hungary is looking for guys as they anticipate more males attending.
