Christmas Concerts Past & Present
Christmas Concerts Past & Present
Since 2004, when I released my Christmas CD “Wunder über Wunder,” I’ve had the privilege of sharing the Christmas season through annual concert tours. That first year, I was joined by Italian-Dutch cellist and flautist Luca Genta and violinist Peggy Stuckey, who taught at Black Forest Academy. Peggy has remained part of this journey and will be joining me again on tour this year, along with a talented group of 12 musicians, singers, and technicians.
Over the years, other gifted artists have joined, including singer Anja Lehmann, whom I had the pleasure of mentoring, and Angelika Sturm, both of whom continue to be part of our Christmas music family. This year, we’ll perform in 12 concerts across Germany, playing for audiences of 150 to 800 attendees who gather to celebrate the Christmas message.
Every season, I’m moved by the stories people share with me after concerts; how the music touched them or rekindled their faith.
One such story, from John, has stayed with me. John wrote,
“Elizabeth and I moved from Germany to Switzerland, and I quickly established myself as a physiotherapist. Life felt stable until a young patient falsely accused me of misconduct. It threw me into a grueling legal battle that shattered my peace and almost broke my faith.
“As the accusations grew worse, I was overwhelmed with despair. One night, I found myself speeding toward a highway bridge, ready to end it all. But at that very moment, your song, You’re All I Need began playing on my car stereo, getting louder and louder, filling me with a profound peace that made me turn away.
Through the entire ordeal, your music helped sustain me, giving me the strength to face each accusation. In a miraculous turn, a witness came forward to reveal the truth, leading to my acquittal and the conviction of my accuser.
Today, I run my own practice and share my story, deeply grateful for how God used your music to carry me through and draw me closer to Him.”
