Connections That Count:TeachBeyond at Missonfest Manitoba
Connections! Where else would you gather family, friends old and new, colleagues, family of colleagues, those seeking direction, those needing prayer or praying for us, connect with dozens of like-minded missionaries representing like-minded kingdom ventures (over 130 in total) in one weekend filled with inspired and inspiring plenaries, programming and care for children and youth, informative and vigorous workshops all in an atmosphere of prayer. This year Missionfest was held at Church of the Rock in Winnipeg February 6-8.
Over the years Missionfest Manitoba has solidified a hard and well-earned reputation as Canada's premier mission event! We are blessed to have this in the backyard, as it were, of our Canadian office and in a location where we have a strong local contingent that can step forward to “take a shift” at Missionfest as well as the college campus mission events (at Providence University College and Steinbach Bible College) that take place during Mission Week.
Many promising and encouraging connections, some old and many new, were made throughout these days. For instance, a Haitian-born French teacher is praying about becoming an Associate to be available to work with one of our projects. Another one expressed interest in teaching Bible.
We trust and pray for good follow-up with all who gave us their name and expressed an interest in continuing the conversation.
Missionfest Manitoba: truly a Faith-fuelled Family/friends-fellowship Fun-filled Faith-forming Future-facing Fest of Mission in, from, for and beyond Manitoba!
