Growing TeachBeyond's Global Impact
In today’s world, the opportunities for new strategic ministries through education are as numerous as they are varied. Below are just three glimpses into new TeachBeyond initiatives being launched around the world that you can help support through financially partnering with our Global Impact Fund.
Beyond Borders is a new global ministry of TeachBeyond that seeks to extend Christ’s love beyond borders, providing transformational education to those who are displaced. Beyond Borders has ministry sites in Greece, Germany, and Ethiopia – with several new locations projected to begin in the next year. We observe how the rise in war, conflict, and persecution around the world that has led to a record number of displaced people fleeing in search of safety and the hope for a better life. However, we also see how God can use education to draw people to Himself, bring healing, and provide opportunities for us to demonstrate His love to the displaced.
Another developing ministry of TeachBeyond is in the country of Albania. This formerly communist country has seen an incredible interest in Christian education in the recent years. Though Albania currently only has one known registered evangelical national school, we are sensing a growing movement of educators with a vision for reaching their nation for Christ through Christian education. TeachBeyond has helped run Christian education conferences in Albania that were met with great enthusiasm and participation. In 2019, TeachBeyond will be pursuing legal registration in the country to facilitate the continued growth of this Christian education movement in Albania.
A final example of how God is expanding His kingdom through TeachBeyond is Uruguay, led by TeachBeyond Brazil. In the midst of a long economic and political crisis, TeachBeyond Brazil has by God’s grace developed many new ministries. In 2019 one of their gifted young leaders, together with his wife and their young son, will move to Uruguay as missionaries sent out by their home church. This is the next step in an outreach that has seen our Brazilian colleagues minister effectively through short-term initiatives in Uruguay, which is considered the most atheistic nation of the western hemisphere. Already many young people have come to Christ and many more have been discipled and trained – and we long to see even more lives transformed as we begin our full-time presence in Uruguay.
God is at work around the world through education, and we invite you to partner with us in helping these new initiatives succeed.
