TeachBeyond Opens Albania Office, Appoints Country Leader

TeachBeyond has opened a national office in Albania and has appointed Klementina Shahini the national director. Klementina is principal of Lezha Academic Center in Lezhe, a partner of TeachBeyond in bringing transformational education to Albanian students.
At Lezha Academic Center, English-speaking teachers from North America as well as Albanians offer a positive alternative to the public school system. The larger goal of the K-12 school is to develop Christ-followers with biblically-oriented leadership skills for the future of Albania.
GDQ International Christian School in Tirana is a second partner of TeachBeyond Albania. It is only open to international students in grades K-12 and 20 nationalities are represented in the student body.
TeachBeyond was supportive of the formation of Transformational Education Albania that began in 2016. A group of Christians in Albania came together to pray about starting a Christian school, but out of their planning meetings came a vision to begin a movement that would start Christian schools across Albania to transform the nation. Albania is beset by problems of corruption and so transformed hearts are greatly needed.
Pray for Klementina and the growing Christian school movement in Albania. Read more about TeachBeyond’s role in this movement.
