Wow, Do We Love Our Teachers!

May 2-6 was Teacher Appreciation Week and we sure do we love our teachers!

“She believed in me and spoke of potential.”

“Coach was fun, engaging and excited about the Gospel.”

“She is gracious and kind when I make mistakes.”

These are a few of the comments people made when honoring a special teacher in their lives. We had 85 nominations this year for the TeachBeyond Honor Roll and over 380 reactions to our posts on social media and our website.

A common theme was the care and compassion these teachers evidenced, as well as how each one went above and beyond their classroom subject.

“She didn’t just teach, she mentored.” said one. Another noted, “She is a shining example of humility, grace and wisdom.” “He made an external impression on my heart and mind” and She is “bringing caring, cultural sensitivity and inspiration to immigrant and refugee students.”

A big “Thank You” to all who took time to nominate a teacher for our Honor Roll and to all our teachers around the world for making a difference in students’ lives every day.
