What is the Global Impact Fund?

The Global Impact Fund is essentially the rebranded TeachBeyond General Fund. The new name more clearly communicates the vision of increasing the transformational impact God is making through TeachBeyond members and projects/schools around the world.

How will be these funds be used?

Money raised through the Global Impact Fund will be allocated to the TeachBeyond Global Services budget line that funds a variety of initiatives and programs that help support and expand the impact of TeachBeyond. The three primary categories of expenses that receive funding through the Global Services budget line are Education Services, Global Centre Services, and Regional Services Support. The Global Services budget is approved by the TeachBeyond Global Committee in consultation with the president and cabinet. In addition to funds raised through the General Fund/Global Impact Fund, Global Services funds are primarily raised through our events/banquets, Field Project Fund contributions, and donations facilitated by some of our US/Canada home office staff members.

Why are we launching this fundraising campaign now?

We are launching this campaign in response to the many opportunities we are seeing to increase the impact that TeachBeyond has for the Kingdom around the world. The primary ways we can increase our impact are through developing our current members and projects while also increasing our capacity to recruit new members and undertake new projects. We also want to provide a clear opportunity for partnering with TeachBeyond’s global vision for those who do not have a personal connection with an existing member/project.

Why are we setting a fundraising target of $100,000 for this initial campaign?

We have been blessed to have $50,000 of matching funds pledged by our TeachBeyond Board and friends to help launch this campaign to expand our global impact. We intend to utilize these match funds to raise an additional $50,000 to ensure we meet our fundraising target for 2018 while also allowing us to take on more new strategic projects in 2019.

How will we raise the funds for this campaign?

We will be initially reaching out to those that have already expressed interest in the global work of TeachBeyond in the past. We will also be working with our board, global leaders, US/Canada home office staff, and others committed to the global work of TeachBeyond. Finally, we will be broadly sharing this partnership opportunity on our website and social media to provide an easy opportunity for first-time donors to support the global vision and begin a partnership with TeachBeyond. We will not be seeking funds for this campaign from those already supporting specific TeachBeyond members, as our focus will be raising up new financial partners with the global vision of TeachBeyond.

How are members and their supporters involved in this fundraising campaign?

We will not be seeking funds for this campaign from those already supporting specific TeachBeyond members, as our focus will be raising up new financial partners with the global vision of TeachBeyond. However, we recognize that some current supporters may be made aware of the campaign through viewing our website and social media accounts or subscribing to TeachBeyond News. Should a supporter of a current member learn of the campaign and make a pledge/donation to the Global Impact Fund, we would encourage that supporter to also increase their giving level to the TeachBeyond member they currently support (in consultation with the member they support). If any current members have supporters they would like to invite to participate in the Global Fundraising campaign (potentially in conjunction with an invitation to increase their partnership level with the member’s ministry), they are welcome to do so on their own or contact Mike Koerber ([email protected]) to coordinate that communication.
