ENLACE is an English/Spanish Language Centre which started in July 2023 to teach the local population in Mindo Ecuador.

Mindo is a beautiful small town in the cloud forest in Ecuador, 2 hours away from Quito, the capital. The tourist industry has grown incredibly in the past 10 years and there is a huge desire of people to learn English to improve their economies.

Currently ENLACE teaches around 50 adult and adolescent students and recently opened the Children's section, from beginners to intermediate levels. 

We use different English curriculums but mainly Off2Class which is the platform used by TeachBeyond.

This is an opportunity for perhaps a retired teacher or a young adult who would like to gain experience teaching ESL/EAL in a beautiful environment. We would like at least one more teacher to support us with the current load and the growth of the academy. We offer a payment of $10 per period (1 1/2 hours) and a minimum of 8 hours a week. We provide accommodation and food (breakfast and lunch) for the cost of $400 a month. If you work 10 hours a week, the latter will be paid off. As an additional benefit for our volunteers, we offer Spanish lessons for free, if they require.
