Art Teacher

LIFE International School is an English-immersion school offering a Christ-centered education to Spanish families in the community of Tres Cantos in Madrid Spain. We are seeking Art teachers who will nurture the school culture with our core values of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence (LIFE), both by personal example and through instruction.

The Art Teacher inspires students to explore and develop their creativity through a wide range of artistic skills, techniques, and media. This role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons that build artistic understanding, encourage creative expression, and develop fine motor and visual-thinking skills. The teacher cultivates a positive, supportive studio environment where students feel safe to take risks, experiment, and grow. Duties include organizing materials, maintaining an orderly classroom, displaying student work, and assessing learning in ways that honor both skill development and imaginative expression. Collaboration with colleagues and clear communication with families are essential, as is modeling the school’s values and nurturing students’ confidence, curiosity, and appreciation for the arts.

LIFE provides a $550 monthly housing stipend and up to $1200 toward initial airfare.  Candidates would have to raise additional funds to cover other expenses.  LIFE also helps navigate the challenges of initial visa and residency paperwork (cost is about $400).
