College and Career Counsellor

Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School, situated in the North part of the island of Mauritius, is looking to employ a committed and caring full-time College and Career Counsellor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group guidance to secondary students on subject choices, university applications, and career pathways
• Support students in developing self-awareness, goal setting, and decision-making skills
• Build relationships with tertiary institutions and keep students informed of local and international opportunities
• Organise a career expo, as well as other related college and career events

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification, Bachelors or Masters Degree in school counselling, education, or a related field
• Experience working with adolescents in a school setting
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• A passion for guiding young people as they plan their future
