Conference Arrangements Coordinator

The Conference Arrangements Coordinator will serve as a team member with specific responsibility for the arrangements for Regional Conferences.

Reponsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Conferences Core Team
  • Build a Conference Arrangements Team (including a member from the region)
  • Give leadership to Conferences for:
    • Registration
    • Venue (Hotel/Conference Center)
    • Conference Logistics (Shuttles, Visas, Excursions)
    • Tech
  • Liaison with the Local Team Members and Host Venue

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior conference/event planning experience highly preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Overseas (missions) experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Office 365
  • Excellent written, veral, interpersonal, and computational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to lead a highly diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Additional Conditions:

  • Ability to adapt to relatively strenuous and stressful environments
  • Ability to travel, may constitute travel to 2 regional conferences per year, including a current valid passport
  • Local smartphone data capabilities

This opportunity is a remote and support based role; part-time, 15 hours per week. Pay is based on the applicant's own ability to raise funds for their salary; paid via donor or self-support.
