Early Grades Classroom Teacher (K-5)

An Early Grades classroom teacher will lead a class of elementary students, providing a quality, international Christian education in core academic subjects.

Subjects and Classes: The teacher may be asked to teach classes, such as ELA (English Language Arts), Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Christian Studies.

Age Group: Instruction will be given to a specific age group, Pre-1st (kindergarten) through 5th grade students (dependent on assigned grade)

Time Commitment: This is a full-time position with the expectation that the teacher will be available for other duties and will work from 8 am to 4 pm on a daily basis.

Extra Responsibilities: May be asked to monitor recess and/or lunch duty (some days), attend staff meetings, help with school events, and occasionally speak at weekly chapels.

Professional Requirements: A university degree in education and/or the subject area is required, and a teaching credential is preferred. The applicant must complete the ACSI Philosophy of Education requirement within three years of starting the position.
