English Language Learners (ELL) Teacher

An ELL teacher will provide English language instruction to non-native English speakers in small-group settings, as well as provide push-in support for students in regular classroom settings. They will also provide support and resources for classroom teachers.

Subjects and Classes: The teacher will teach English Language Acquisition and may be asked to support students in classes such as reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. Teachers may also support advisory classes or study halls. 

Age Group: Instruction will be given to 6th-12th grades students.

Time Commitment: This is a full-time position with the expectation that the teacher will work regular full-time hours between 8 am to 4 pm on a daily basis.

Extra Responsibilities: Teachers must attend all scheduled staff meetings. The teacher may be assigned to supervise lunch, recess, or a school activity. They may be asked to assist with weekly chapels occasionally.

Professional Requirements: A university degree in education and/or the subject area is required, and a teaching credential is preferred. The applicant must complete the ACSI Philosophy of Education requirement within three years of starting the position.
