High School English and Literature Teacher

LIFE International School is a growing, English-immersion school offering a Christ-centered education to Spanish and international families in the community of Tres Cantos in Madrid Spain. We are seeking a High School English and Literature teacher who will nurture a classroom and school culture with our core values of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence (LIFE), both by personal example and instruction.

LIFE Teachers use an educational approach that fosters the intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development of the students from a biblical perspective.

The High School English Teacher guides students in developing:

• strong reading skills
• writing skills
• speaking skills
• analytical skills through the study of literature and composition

This role includes:

• planning engaging lessons
• assessing learning
• fostering a positive classroom environment where students think critically and can express themselves using both oral and written communication skills.

LIFE provides a $550 monthly housing stipend, and up to $1200 toward initial airfare.  Candidates would have to raise additional funds to cover other expenses.  LIFE also helps navigate the challenges of initial visa and residency paperwork (cost is about $400).
