High School Math Teacher

Goals:

• To meet the educational needs of assigned students
• To serve as a liaison between home and school
• To work as a team with other teachers to provide an excellent academic program for students

Skills and Responsibilies:

• Strong knowledge in math
• Strong knowledge and skills to teach maths
• Establishes effective classroom management procedures
• Reinforces desired behaviors with +/- consequences
• Plans effective lessons to diminish negative student behaviors
• Informs administration regarding student behavior challenges
• Supports school-wide behavior expectations
• Plans learning activities that minimize non-learning classroom time

Spiritual:

• Models a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in speech, actions, and attitudes
• Sets an example of the importance of prayer, Bible study, witnessing, and unity in Christian fellowship
• Follows Matthew 18 principle in dealing with student, parent, or staff conflict
• Shows support for the role of parents as primary responsibility for their children’s spiritual development
• Encourages/challenges students in their relationship with Jesus Christ
• Emphasizes to students the reality of their worth in Christ

The employee shall be born again in Christ and shall be actively participating in a local evangelical church and shall lead a mature Christian life. The employee shall reflect the purpose of the school to honor Christ in every situation and in every activity.
