HS Chemistry Teacher
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver chemistry lessons that are engaging, inquiry-based, and lab-focused.
- Ensure safe and effective laboratory instruction and management.
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Use technology and simulations to enhance instruction.
- Integrate a Christian worldview into teaching.
- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular STEM activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Education
- Valid teaching certification/licensure in secondary science or chemistry (or ability to obtain).
- Prior teaching experience at secondary level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and lab instruction.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and integrate technology.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate a Christian worldview.
- Agreement with and commitment to the school’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
