Lower Elementary Phonics and Writing Teacher

We need a native English speaker to help K-3rd graders get a good foundation in reading, writing, and grammar!

Responsibilities:

Teach phonics to K-3rd graders in multiple levels. We are currently using Abeka, but are open to following a different curriculum of your choice.
Help students learn the basics of writing, including sentence structure, paragraph format, topic sentences, and organizing ideas.
Engage students in learning to love reading by doing read alouds.
Teach early grammatical structures and spelling.

Requirements:

Ability to manage different levels in one classroom.
Enthusiasm and love of the English language.
Either certification, teaching experience, or cross-cultural experience preferred (culture shock + teaching can be a hard combination!)

This position can be combined with other available positions at the school if there is interest.

POSITION START DATE: September 2025

TYPE OF POSITION: Full-time (35+ hrs/week), Part-time (20-35 hrs/week), Part-time (5-20 hrs/week)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 YEAR

CERTIFICATION: Preferred

LENGTH OF SERVICE: 1-6 months, Over 6 months
