Middle School/High School English Teacher

The secondary English teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, nurturing students in growth and development, and providing instruction in the assigned grade and curriculum area that aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the school. This position will teach classes for middle and high school students.

Qualifications: 

• Must be a mature Christian with a clear testimony
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Preferably 1-2 years of teaching experience in subject area
• Preferably holds a current teacher’s license

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions
• Design and implement instruction that addresses the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of the students
• Create and submit lesson plans with objectives that align with established curricular goals
• Maintain a safe, inviting, organized classroom environment that promotes engaged learning
• Differentiate instruction, aligning methods and techniques to meet diverse student needs
• Incorporate creative, hands-on, student-centered learning experiences
• Integrate Biblical principles and Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum
• Collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator to support students with Individual Educational Programs
