School Leadership Development Coordinator
The position will strategically collaborate with internal teams, align leadership initiatives with org priorities, mentor school leaders, provide PD & develop resources to support school leaders.
Responsibilities
Strategic alignment & collaboration to reach the nations:
- Collaborate across global service departments offering leadership programs (e.g. Leadership Development Network) and the School Services team to develop and implement a cohesive and holistic approach to school leadership which meets the organization's needs.
- Align global school leadership initiatives with School Services and organizational strategic plans and priorities.
- Collaborate with those involved in school board training so that school leaders are well supported, properly equipped and accountable.
- Regularly liaise with regional and national school services staff to gather feedback on school leadership initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of global school leadership initiatives and recommend improvements and actions to maintain relevance.
Leadership development & capacity building within schools and members:
- Mentor and/or coach school leaders at TeachBeyond global family schools and members who serve in a school leadership role.
- Upon request, assist family schools in their identification of and development of emerging leaders.
- Provide ongoing relevant training and professional development for TeachBeyond members and global Family Schools on the topics of school leadership and administration. (e.g. Fellowship of school leaders, K-12 leadership course)
- Provide support to Regional/national school services to adapt global school leadership initiatives to their context.
Relevant Global Resource Development & Practical support:
- Develop and curate practical tools, resources, and guidance to strengthen school leadership and administration within family schools.
- Respond to the needs of regional teams and national entities as it relates to school leadership development.
Qualifications
- Minimum undergraduate degree in education; or related field of study; or equivalent professional career experience. Master’s degree in educational or organizational leadership preferred.
- Proven educational leadership and administrative experience (e.g. principal, assistant principal, head of school, divisional leader, instructional leader, or equivalent leadership role), with the ability to provide consultative guidance and cultivate available resources to respond to needs.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing school leaders, including emerging leaders and current administrators
- Familiarity with school governance and board-school leader relationships would be helpful.
- At least 2 years cross-cultural missions, preferably in areas related to existing TeachBeyond ministries
- Professional experience on staff in a faith-based non-profit organization, preferably within TeachBeyond
This opportunity is a remote and support based position. Pay is based on the applicant's own ability to raise funds for their salary; paid via donor or self-support.
