Secondary Principal
Basic Function of Position:
Lead the grade-level team academically and spiritually and work with the complete administration team on all-school initiatives. Directly responsible to the Academic Director for students and staff in 6th-12th grades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spiritual Leadership
- Model and promote a Christ centered lifestyle in all aspects of school leadership.
- Encourage spiritual growth among staff and students.
- Integrate biblical worldview and Christian values into academic and extracurricular programming.
- Academic and Instructional Leadership
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation in alignment with ACA and ACSI standards.
- Ensure high academic expectations and student achievement.
- Support and evaluate teachers through regular observations, feedback, and professional development planning.
- Promote innovative and effective teaching methodologies.
Administrative Leadership:
- Lead the secondary school team in daily operations, including scheduling, discipline, communication, and crisis management.
- Collaborate with the Head of School and other administrators to achieve strategic goals.
- Oversee student assessment, data analysis, and reporting processes.
- Coordinate with parents, staff, and the broader school community to foster effective partnerships.
- Personnel and Student Supervision
- Supervise and support secondary school faculty and staff.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
- Support student wellbeing, discipline, and development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a Christian or international school.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Christian education philosophy.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Alignment with ACA’s Statement of Faith and commitment to the school’s mission.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a multicultural or international setting.
- Familiarity with American based curriculum models.
- Experience in instructional coaching and staff development.
