Now Offering First Grade in Kinshasa
FATEB Kinshasa Academy, our partner school in the Democratic Republic of Congo, finished its first year of Kindergarten class with a school celebration thanking the Lord for the great opportunity to transform the lives of students and parents. FKA will be adding a first-grade class in September and teachers hope to welcome many new students.
In addition to running FKA, Administrator Heritier Fima will be traveling to Bangui, Central African Republic, to help interview and hire teachers for a new school that TeachBeyond is hoping to help start there. Both FKA and the new school are initiatives of Bangui Evangelical School of Theology, which uses the French acronym FATEB. Christy Ware, Becky Hunsberger, and Tammy Peters will be returning to FKA in September to conduct more teacher-training classes and for the opening of the new school year.
Pray for wisdom and strength for Fima and his family, for more students, and for the provision of travel visas for those from TeachBeyond traveling there this fall and for their safety. It is becoming increasingly difficult for U.S. citizens to obtain visas, and there is unrest during elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
