ENLACE English Language Centre

ENLACE is a non-profit English Language Centre based in the cloud forest of Mindo, Ecuador. The school was founded by Silvia Carrillo, who invested her life savings to bring transformational education to the people of Mindo. The goal of our centre is to help the local community by offering affordable English classes to anyone who has the desire to learn. Since Mindo is a popular tourist destination, learning English greatly improves opportunities for residents, enhancing their quality of life. Our mission is to keep education accessible to all, regardless of financial means.

We currently serve around 90 students, from children to adults. We are blessed to have been able to provide a beautiful and inspiring learning space, with our main building constructed sustainably with local materials. There are three classrooms, in which we can offer classes to groups of max 10 people. 

To further expand our impact, we began constructing an outdoor bamboo building for classes, events, prayer and community gatherings. To our regret, we ran out of funds before being able to complete the second floor of the structure.

It is our aim to raise $3,500, so that we can finish this project and continue expanding our services to the people of Mindo. If we reach a threshold of $2,500, we will be able to complete the building in the most basic way, allowing us to access the second floor safely and protect our equipment. If we manage to raise $3,500, we will be able to add important elements like extra drainage, lighting, banners, and furniture—enhancements that will greatly support our educational and spiritual work.
