Social media and Content Creator

Open Schools Worldwide serves learners outside of formal education in 22 countries. We need help in getting our compelling story out to the world through stories and pictures.

Join are multinational team that cares deeply for the marginalized. We are looking for someone who will manage social media engagement across various platforms. Through this role, he/she will share stories of what God is doing, assist in recruiting new donors, and engage people in God’s work. The incumbent will bring strong talents in collecting stories, connecting with others, and sharing those stories in an engaging way that can be used globally across a variety of exciting projects.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using a variety of social media platforms with intentionality to increase exposure, particularly on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Proven ability to write attention-grabbing headlines and engaging stories.
  • Experience gathering raw information and shaping it into a compelling, audience-focused piece.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to create content that aligns with organizational voice and mission.
  • Skills in scheduling, monitoring, and responding to social media engagement across platforms.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with team members to collect stories, photos, and updates.
  • Understanding basic analytics to help track engagement and improve reach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated creativity in adapting content for various audiences and formats.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Regularly share events and updates for Open Schools Worldwide projects through our social media platforms.
  • Collect existing stories and seek new stories from our team, country facilitators, and projects.
  • Collect photos and videos from members and projects.
  • Write engaging headlines and stories for Open Schools Worldwide.
  • Manage the schedule and release of social media items.
  • Advise, teach and encourage Open Schools Worldwide team and projects on media and communication as a tool to share their stories to a wide audience.
  • Write copy for websites, ads, social media, and print material.

Pay is based on member classification and work location; paid via donor or self-support.
