Without education, millions of children are at great risk of “failure”, lacking the skills to avoid their inevitable path into hopelessness, drugs, prostitution, and crime. Open Schools Worldwide seeks to help these vulnerable children, currently serving close to 15000 children in our projects, primarily in African countries, but increasingly also on other continents. However, there are tens of millions more who are in desperate need of “hope through life-changing learning”. We regularly receive new requests in other regions and countries. Kilometers for Kids is a global fundraising event to help bring hope to these children and their families.
