Forever Known, Never Alone

Can you name 20 things about someone special to you? This was recently asked of our 3rd and 4th graders. It was easy for them to name 10 things, but naming 20 became more difficult. Then they were asked to name even more… what about 2,000 things? I’m not sure I could name 2,000 things about myself!

But our Creator can. He knows everything about you. He knows when you sit down and when you rise. He knows your thoughts and your words before you even speak or take action. He knows everything about you—and He still comes for you. You can’t escape Him. He is everywhere. He is present in the good, the bad, and the ugly.

He walks with you through your entire life: in all the great moments and memories, in the moments you feel alone, and in the times you think you’ve messed up beyond repair. We can lift our heads high because the Creator of the universe not only knows us completely but loves us unconditionally. There is nothing that can separate us from His love!

Father, thank You for knowing me so completely and still choosing to love me. Reveal Your presence in the good, the bad, and the ugly to me. Guide me along the path You have laid out for me. Show me Your thoughts and Your way, and lead me in Your everlasting way. Thank You for creating me – a light to shine in the darkness. Amen.
