Administrative Assistant to the Director
Arbor Christian Academy (ACA) is seeking a qualified administrative assistant to serve alongside our director in ACA's mission to "equip the mind and educate the heart to impact the nation" of the Dominican Republic.
The Administrative Assistant to the Director will help with the effective management of the school through efficient and accountable administive tasks.
Fluency in Spanish preferred, advanced office skills required.
Core Purpose: To provide an exemplary Christian education, where students are provided with age-appropriate academic rigor and students and families have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Support: Provide personalized administrative support to the director, anticipating needs and prioritizing tasks.
- Meeting Preparation: Prepare agendas, gather necessary materials, and take minutes during meetings for the director.
- Project Coordination: Assist the director with special projects, ensuring timelines are met and all details are managed effectively.
- Confidential Correspondence: Draft, edit, and manage confidential communications on behalf of the director.
- Information Management: Compile and summarize information and reports for the director to facilitate decision-making.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a liaison between the director and staff, parents, and community members, ensuring effective communication.
- Travel and Logistics: Arrange travel, accommodations, and logistics for the director as needed for conferences or school-related events.
- Resource Management: Help manage and organize resources and materials required by the director for meetings and presentations.
- Feedback and Follow-Up: Collect feedback on initiatives or projects and assist with follow-up tasks to ensure successful implementation.
- Event Assistance: Support the director in planning and executing school events, including coordinating schedules and logistics

At Arbor, our staff functions as a multi-cultural family. At any given time you may hear English, Spanish or Haitian Creole. This staff family, together, serves approximately 120 students K-6. Our school body consists primarily of Dominican and Haitian students, extending across a wide range of socio-economic statuses. Twenty-five percent of our student body receives tuition assistance, which is primarily funded by our community English program.
