Cambridge IGCSE Coordinator
The Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Cambridge High School (Upper Secondary) curriculum at our school. This role involves working closely with school leaders and all IGCSE and AS/A Level teachers at the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Coordination:
- Oversee the implementation of the Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curriculum.
- Ensure all curriculum materials are up-to-date and in line with Cambridge guidelines (using current syllabi, access to Support Hub etc.).
Examination Coordination:
- Coordinate Term exams and ensure adherence to the examination schedule.
- Manage the logistics of Cambridge examinations, scheduling, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with Cambridge examination regulations and policies.
Teacher Support and Development:
- Assist teachers in the development of lesson plans, assessments, and instructional strategies aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for IGCSE and AS/A Level teachers.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching practices.
Collaboration with Other Schools:
- Establish and maintain relationships with other international schools offering Cambridge programs.
- Organize regular meetings and forums for IGCSE and AS/A Level teachers to share best practices, resources, and experiences.
- Encourage collaborative projects and initiatives that enhance student learning.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor student performance and academic progress in IGCSE and AS/A Level subjects.
- Analyse examination results to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Prepare reports on academic performance for school leadership and stakeholders.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding IGCSE and AS/A Level inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding exam schedules, results, and academic policies.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of student registrations, examination entries, and results.
- Ensure that all documentation related to examinations is completed accurately and submitted on time.
