Curriculum Developer

Beyond Borders, a global department of TeachBeyond, is seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to help support the Educational Programs Team to further develop the 'Learn to Heal' curriculum, learning resources, and educational services.
The Curriculum Developer will provide ongoing support towards the development, design, and implementation of Beyond Borders Educational Curriculums. The Curriculum Developer will provide assistance in the training, supporting, and equipping of educators within the projects serviced by Beyond Borders. Responsibilities include the following:
- Assist in the development and design of the 'Learn to Heal' curriculum and related resources, collaborating with subject matter experts, local education leads, and key stakeholders - both internally and externally.
- Research trauma informed educational practices, care, peacebuilding, and art theories, by attending relevant trainings, workshops; utilizing gained knowledge to provide recommendations for the further development of the 'Learn to Heal' curriculum
- Provide regular updates of training, instructional, and curriculum materials on a consistent basis, collaborating with other key members of the Educational Programs team
- Evaluate and revise training materials such as texts, outlines, handouts, on-the-field guides, and other educational resources; collaborating with the Curriculum Illustrator
- Conduct needs assesments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula
- Recommend instructional methods such as individual or group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and role-playing appropriate for content and learner characteristics
- Assess effectiveness and eficiency of instruction, according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction

Status: Full-time; 32-40 hours/week
Funding: Pay is based on applicant's own ability to raise funds for their role; paid via donor or self-support.
Location: Belgrade, Serbia. Flexible and remote options may be considered, serving near the TeachBeyond Serbia office is preferred.
