Elementary School Teacher

Teach in a multi-cultural and multi-grade level classroom to engage children in learning and challenge them to become independent and collaborative learners. 

At JCA we are committed to helping children to develop their God-given gifts for Christ-like service in the world. We do this by providing a quality academic program that is rooted in a North American curriculum but adapted to suit our diverse cross-cultural community. We are seeking caring, committed Christian teachers with creativity and flexibility with a positive servant attitude.

While teachers provide grade-level instruction in the major subjects of Math and English, they also engage students in learning in multi-grade level classes using our school-wide topic approach to enrich learning in other subjects such as science, history, art, music and physical fitness to learn more about the wider world around us using grade appropriate standards to guide lessons. While we have limited resources available in our context, we have a supportive family environment that encourages creativity and learning together. 

Teachers are required to have partners to provide both prayer and financial support. However, besides a small living allowance/stipend, we do provide immigration costs and some assistance for travel expenses for holidays.
