Elementary Teacher

We are looking for an elementary (primary) teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, to teach core subjects, such as math, literacy, faith and life, etc.

About Our School

Our school is a faith-based, English medium school which follows the UK National Curriculum. We are located in Mae Sot, Thailand, which is near the Myanmar border. There are currently around 400 students enrolled in our school, ranging from preschool through secondary school. We also have a GED program. We openly teach about Christianity, while being sensitive to the diverse backgrounds that our students come from.

About Our Students

Given our location, the majority of our students are refugees from Myanmar, while we also have some Thai and international students. The majority of our students come from a Buddhist background, while we also have significant Muslim and Christian minorities represented. While most of our students are still English Language Learners, the majority of them possess a high level of English. Many of them have come from traumatic backgrounds as they have fled from their home country. In spite of the hardships they have encountered, they are resilient, respectful and a delight to teach.

Requirements

We are looking for teachers who possess the following:

• Native English speakers (or C2 ability)*
• Certified in their home country (especially the USA, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, etc.)
• A missional heart, with a Biblical worldview
• A culturally flexible attitude

*Knowledge of the Thai or Burmese languages are not necessary for this position, as this is an English medium school
