ESL Teacher

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• POSITION TITLE: EFL teacher
• SUMMARY: Teach English as a Foreign Language to students of various ages.
• Hours: 15 hours/week
• Salary: $15 USD/hour (paid in local currency)
• Location: SE Asia

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Education or TEFL/TESOL certificate
• No previous experience required (training provided)

Skills:

• IELTS band 8/CEFR level C2 or above
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player 
• Ability to adapt to and teach different age groups
• Willingness and ability to adjust to changing conditions and priorities
• Fair management of student behavior that rewards good behavior and provides the opportunity to improve bad behavior

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Teach EFL in classroom setting according to chosen curriculum (ELLi provides curriculum and lesson plans for all classes)
• Research and devise interesting, creative, and productive lessons for students
• Maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning
• Use a modern and dynamic teaching approach that allows students to conversationally use the English language
• Test, evaluate, and advise students regarding their English performance 
• Be a positive role model to students
