Physical Education Teacher (K-8)

Do you see the inherent value in students, physical fitness, and athletics? We are looking for a Christian teacher qualified to teach PE classes to our lower grades students.

A Lower School Physical Education teacher will provide grade level appropriate instruction in the basic fundaments of a variety of sports and physical fitness.

Subjects and Classes: The teacher will be asked to teach classes in Physical Education, and possibly Health. 

Age Group: Instruction will be given to Pre-1st through 8th grade students.

Time Commitment: This is a full-time position with the expectation that the teacher will be available for other duties and will work from 8 am to 4 pm on a daily basis.

Extra Responsibilities: May be asked to coach an extra-curricular sport, monitor recess and/or lunch duty (some days), attend staff meetings, help with school events.

Professional Requirements: A university degree in education and/or the subject area is required, and a teaching credential is preferred. The applicant must complete the ACSI Philosophy of Education requirement within three years of starting the position.
