Principal
Goal: The Principal shall lead the education program at IEA to ensure we achieve the mission and vision. The Principal shall lead the educational team and staff to ensure alignment to vision, mission, and values.
The qualified individual is expected to demonstrate patience, humility, integrity, and kindness while performing his or her day-to-day duties. He/she must be devoted to work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents to develop and maintain a program which is academically superb.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Holds a bachelor's degree with an education focus from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s degree with leadership, administrative, or education focus from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Two or more years of administration experience preferred.
- Passion for serving God in the context of education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reflect the purpose of the program to offer quality education.
- Oversee the daily operation of the education program including students, teachers, counselors, and learning support.
- Oversee all primary programs and activities, ensuring they are successful and running in alignment with IEA Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Oversee the master schedule and assign staff to classes, ensuring schedules and staff are moving toward the IEA mission.
- Oversee student discipline and ensuring Parent communication, collaborating with teachers and staff as needed.
- Oversee academic progress for all students and classes.
- Oversee the budgeting and ordering process for the program, collaborating with the IEA finance department and the Director of IEA.
- Oversee the editing of the Parent/Student Handbook and Teacher Handbook.
- Oversee the collaborating and leadership structure of the program, including staff meetings.
- Oversee event planning, coordinating with parents and staff.
- Oversee chapel time and collaborate with the Director IEA to ensure the program is missionally aligned.
- Supervise and evaluate each staff member.
- Supervise the report card process, committed to be data-driven.
- Develop and equip staff and student leaders for greater responsibilities.
- Develop staff throughout the year through observations and professional development times.
- Participate in the hiring process and recommend qualified candidates to the Director of IEA.
- Collaborate with the Director of IEA regarding the learning team and safeguarding.
- Participate in chapel planning.
- Participate in professional development.
- Support school-wide activities.
- Communicate with all primary stakeholders regularly and appropriately through meetings, seminars, messages, etc.
- Communicate any areas of concern immediately with the Director of IEA.
- Connect staff with the right people and the right resources to help them toward their growth areas.
- Other duties as assigned or needed.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Oversees the high-level operations of IEA. The primary duties include creating a safe learning environment, managing the development of curriculum and setting and monitoring performance goals for teachers and students. Supportive of other IEA projects but keeps IEA (teachers and students) as a priority.
