School Administrator
JCA was created to meet the educational needs of missionary families serving in South Sudan. As we grow, administrative leadership will guide the school to fulfill our vision of advancing the Kingdom of God by providing a high-quality Christian education for families serving in South Sudan. Serving as administrator provides support and direction for staff, directs school growth and helps the school to steward the resources that God has provided. The administrator also provides educational direction in the curriculum and teaching method, serving alongside missionaries from several different organizations and fostering a caring, family atmosphere in the school community.
As we are a small school, the administrator continues to interact with students in the classrooms in varying capacities requiring flexibility and creativity. Our diverse, cross-cultural environment requires listening with openness to diverse ideas and adaptability, while also maintaining high standards and strong pedagogical approaches to learning. Teacher recruitment and development are also an important part of this position. Leadership skills, educational experience and strong Christian commitment are required and experience with a cross-cultural environment is a definite plus in fulfilling the goals of this position.
The administrator works with, and is responsible to, the school board which is made up of representatives of founding mission organizations and of parents.
