Secondary English Teacher

At Bingham Academy, our English classes are taught by qualified teachers and are designed to build knowledge and skills that will enable students to understand and analyze a range of writing genres as well as prepare for further studies at University and beyond. We are currently looking for several English Teachers with the ability to teach across the Secondary grades (6-12). This is an English Language Arts position, not an English as a Second Language role. Bingham Academy teaches the Cambridge Curriculum.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, English as an Additional Language, or linguistics
- Teaching License, Qualification or Credential
- Masters degree in English (desired but negotiable)
- Experience in linguistic studies (desired but negotiable)

- Demonstrate understanding of recent educational trends and best practices, including relevant curriculum and learning and assessment theory
- Experience designing personalized and differentiated learning experiences for students

Responsibilities:
- Teach courses assigned by the secondary principal
- Carry out all assigned duties with professionalism
- Teach and serve in a broad range of responsibilities as requested by administration
- Communicate timely and professionally with parents as needed, discussing student performance and writing annual reports
- Maintain personal teaching certifications
- Participate in ongoing professional development
