Secondary School Physics Teacher

Grace International School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Secondary School Physics Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physics education to secondary school students in accordance with the English National Curriculum (ENC). A teaching license or certification is required, and knowledge of the ENC is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging physics lessons that align with the English National Curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Utilise a variety of instructional strategies and resources to promote student understanding and application of key physics concepts and principles.
  • Create hands-on laboratory experiences and experiments that allow students to explore and investigate scientific phenomena.
  • Foster a collaborative and inquiry-based learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and problem-solve.
  • Assess student learning through a combination of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, including those with varying levels of prior knowledge and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate physics with other subjects.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching license or certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum, with previous experience teaching within this framework preferred.
  • Demonstrated passion for physics and a commitment to fostering student curiosity and exploration in the subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
  • Experience with inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and hands-on laboratory instruction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and development.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
