Secondary School Principal

Purpose:

The Principal of Grace Secondary School (GSS) will provide effective leadership and management in collaboration with the principal of Grace Primary School (GPS) and the CEO of DexServe and follow the policies approved by the Grace Board. This role will foster a school culture grounded in the core values of Faith, Collaboration, Excellence, and Service.

The Principal is responsible for ensuring high-quality education aligned with the English National Curriculum while promoting Christian education within a multicultural environment. 

Essential Requirements:

• A passion for serving God through education
• Full endorsement of Grace’s Statement of Faith
• 5+ years of teaching and/or leadership experience within an educational setting
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (postgraduate degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification/license (e.g., PGCE or equivalent qualification)
• Understanding of the English National Curriculum 

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership

• Collaborate with leadership teams to promote the objectives, values, and purpose of GSS.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of an education aligned with the English National Curriculum.
• Foster excellent staff relations and support the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning.
• Ensure effective teaching through structured monitoring and review.
• Provide professional development opportunities for staff.
• Build relationships with educational leaders, institutions, and associations. 

Personnel Management

• Identify staffing needs and communicate them to leadership.
• Facilitate the hiring process for education faculty.
• Supervise and manage individual professional appraisals.
• Promote unity and a shared sense of purpose among teaching staff.
• Keep the CEO informed of relevant teaching staff issues.
• Ensure personnel management aligns with school policies. 

School Management

• Collaborate with leadership to prepare the annual budget.
• Approve payments
