Secondary Social Studies Teacher
Greater Lisbon Christian Academy (GLCA) is in need of a Junior High/High School Social Studies teacher.
Responsibilities:
GLCA is structured with combined grades in a classroom. 7th and 8th grades are combined. 9th and 10th and 11th and 12th grades are also combined. The social studies teacher is responsible for teaching cultural geography, history (American & World), American government, and economics content for 7th-12th grades.
As needed, the social studies teacher may be asked to oversee a study hall or help with a school wide project.
Essential Qualifications:
- An authentic and visible Christian faith
- Compatibility with GLCA’s doctrinal statement. (He/she must agree and sign)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- A strong sense of teamwork and willingness to work in collaborative relationships with other teachers
POSITION START DATE: August 2025
