Special Education Teacher
We need a teacher who can specialize in learning challenges, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, discalculia, ADHD, autism, and/or reading disabilities. This can be a short-term or long-term position.
We have 4-7 students that you would be working with between 1st and 8th grade.
Responsibilities:
- You would be providing additional one-on-one support for the students in our school that struggle with various learning disabilities, and helping teachers adjust their own lesson plans to accommodate students to provide them with the best learning experience possible.
- You could also provide a special course for groups of students to work together.
Qualifications:
- Either certification with learning disabilities or at least one year experience as a special-ed or reading specialist.
The school week is Tuesday-Friday, so Mondays are free for rest, volunteer, or other ministry opportunities.
