TeachBeyond Team Leader - Philippines
The Team Leader will facilitate a healthy team dynamic and provide administrative support and guidance to team members in a way that allows individuals and families to grow and be transformed into all God intends for them to be. The Team Leader would preferably live in Manila, Philippines
Responsibilities:
- Personal and Team Support
- Pray for team members and team
- Coordinate with Member Care, National Director, and local projects to welcome and orient new members
- Give practical care and resources to team members especially in areas of cross-cultural adaptation, maintaining reasonable, healthy boundaries, and navigating available TeachBeyond support structures
- Seek to ensure housing and member care are provided for international team members (as needed)
- Ensure members across all projects in your country/location are included in all team communication and are in regular (at least monthly) contact with you or local member care.
- Mediate in conflict resolution as requested
- Ensure hospitality and coordination of visits for visiting TeachBeyond staff
- Provide regular gatherings (at least quarterly) for the TeachBeyond team to facilitate growth and a sense of being on mission together. Ensure that these meetings are inclusive to all team members across projects.
- Coordinate with Member Care (locally and/or regionally) to ensure team and personal well-being of all members
- Implement activities that promote team spirit and unity - outings, retreats, socials, prayer times, regular meetings
- Encourage communication of ideas between members of different projects within the country
- Encourage and model healthy personal and interpersonal skills and dynamics
- Administrative Support
- Provide written reports to National Director and/or Regional Director as requested and based on location
- Liaise with regional director, national leaders, cross-cultural staff in country, member care (local & regional) and team lead team.
- Liaise with projects to ensure clarity and coordination of local support and compliance with TeachBeyond administrative personnel requirements (ie: completion of annual review).
- Liaise with project leads and TeachBeyond crisis management team during crisis and emergency events – know/communicate project crisis plan, liaise between team and TeachBeyond leadership; participate in crisis debrief
- Be point person during events significantly impacting team member or family well-being (ie: unexpected personal departure, medical emergency, etc.) –ensure there is coordination between the project, the team and TeachBeyond leadership as appropriate
- Report major incidents such as destabilizing political events, embassy evacuation orders, urgent medical or mental health needs of members, safeguarding issues, etc. to appropriate national, regional and global leadership
- Raise concern with appropriate national, regional, and global leadership if team member is displaying habitual patterns of unresponsiveness, ongoing and unresolved mental, emotional, or physical struggle, or non-alignment with the TeachBeyond distinctive and values
- Participate in TeachBeyond training and/or meetings as requested
- Attend global, regional and team lead meetings as determined by Regional Director
- Be the expression of TeachBeyond on the ground, communicating mission-wide priorities, connecting local expressions of ministry to the global mission and vision, and fostering a sense of team unity as people “serving together on mission.”
- Regularly engage on the Microsoft Teams Team Leads team and with team lead support group

- Education and Experience:
- Significant intercultural experience
- Practical experience in managing highly diverse people groups, global teams and remote staff
- Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated success holding leadership roles
- Demonstrates a growing familiarity with host culture and cultural norms
- Exceptional English communication skills both verbal and written
- Growing facility in host language (preferred)
- Overall business technology proficiency and competence in use of Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
This is a part-time role with flexible hours. Pay is based on the applicants own ability to raise funds for their salary. Paid via donor or self-support.
