Teacher of Mathematics

The Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC) Secondary School is a co-educational school which is BSO and MSA accredited, and serves more than 200 students aged 4-18, from over 20 countries. It is a school with a Christian ethos, flowing out of its mission, vision and values.

KISC comprises a Primary and Secondary School, as well as a Teacher Training establishment, called EQUIP. Our mission is to provide excellent education, primarily for the international mission community and Nepali school communities, based on KISC values. Through our schools and the EQUIP programme, students and staff are helping to transform children’s lives, as well as making a positive impact on wider Nepali society.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Math Teacher to join our team. This role involves delivering engaging instruction in Maths at secondary level. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for inspiring young learners, strong pedagogical skills, and experience working in an international school setting.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics; and 
  • a teaching qualification

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience teaching computing or related subjects at secondary level, ideally in an international school setting; familiarity with IGCSE curriculum is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, programming concepts, and educational technologies appropriate for primary and lower secondary students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with, and inspire young learners
  • Adaptability and creativity in designing instructional activities that promote active learning and engagement
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices
